Episode #11: Nathan Bellott

Welcome back to the Dominic Brancazio podcast! In today’s episode, we are joined by my friend, Nathan Bellott! Nate is an award winning New York City based jazz saxophonist and is on the winds faculty at the Brooklyn Music School. In this talk, we merge the worlds of jazz and classic music and talk about Nate’s background getting into music, how we think about music from a jazz and classical perspective, his time working with his mentors such as Hal Galper, and some additional thoughts on music education. I wish I had more time for this chat because I always love getting to talk to Nate about music and getting the chance to catchup. If you all want to learn more about Nate or his work, I included some links to check out in the description below. This was a lot of fun for me and I hope you all enjoy it too. Thank you for listening!
