Episode #46: Felice Doynov

Hello and welcome back to the Dominic Brancazio Podcast, where we talk about all things classical music! Today we’re joined by my friend Felice Doynov. Felice is a flutist, arts administrator, educator and is also the Associate Dean of Visiting Faculty and Orchestra Manager at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, FL. In today’s episode, we dive into the topic of how Felice got into arts administration and ways we as musicians can learn to cultivate a wonderful working environment. We specifically go over Felice’s background and education, how she got into arts administration from a background in flute performance, we cover what it means to be successful in your career, how to stay positive at work, her role as an orchestra manger at New World Symphony, and ways musicians can create their own projects.

If you would like to learn more about Felice, please check out the link in the description below. It was amazing catching up with Felice and hearing her perspective in this episode. When we crossed paths at New World Symphony, I was always amazed by her leadership and joyful spirit and this talk really reminded me how much of a positive influence she has on the people around her. I loved listening back to this talk and I know you all will get a lot out of hearing her perspective as well. Thank you for tuning in and please enjoy the show.
