Episode #36: Nathan Bellott

Hello and welcome back to the Dominic Brancazio Podcast! In today’s episode, we are joined by my friend, Nathan Bellott! Nate is an in demand New York City based saxophonist, he performs with a wide variety of artists in addition to his own ensembles, and in addition to a busy performing career he also maintains a private teaching studio.

In this episode, Nate and I catch up after our first podcast episode last year and we reflect upon how our playing as changed over time. We also talk about new ways of practicing, on different teaching philosophies, seeing a variety of different concerts in New York City, and about other various topics related to life and music.

If you would like to learn more about Nate, please check out the information in the description below. I’m so happy to get the chance to meet up again with Nate and that he was generous enough to make a second appearance on the show!

Just a quick note from me about the recording of the episode: we recorded this talk earlier in the fall so unfortunately some of the concert events we mentioned have already passed. Please be sure to check out the description below to learn more about what events Nate has coming up and I strongly encourage you if you are in New York City to check out his work. He’s an amazing artist and such a great person to be around. I had a a great time putting this episode together and I hope you all enjoy.
