Episode #6: Priscilla Rinehart, Kelsey Ross, and Andrew Warfield

Welcome back to another episode of the Dominic Brancazio Podcast. Today’s guests are the amazing horn players Priscilla Rinehart, Kelsey Ross, and Andrew Warfield. Priscilla plays 2nd Horn with the Sarasota Orchestra in Florida, Kelsey plays 4th Horn with the Sarasota Orchestra and Andrew plays Associate Principal/Third Horn with the San Antonio Symphony in Texas. Today’s talk is about establishing healthy relationships within a section and ensemble. The way you interact with your colleagues in an ensemble can drastically influence the quality of music making and how everyone enjoys the experience in general. In this episode we brainstorm strategies on how to connect with your fellow musicians, function within a section by knowing how to act in different roles within the group, and how to resolve conflicts when they may appear. I hope everyone listening can use these tips within their own groups to help ensure that everyone involved is having a good time.
